Natural Therapy Treatment at our Bristol Clinic Bristol Natural Health Service offers a wide range of natural therapies and helps you to select the natural therapy treatment best suited to you, whether you are in pain with an acute or chronic condition, want to feel better in yourself or simply feel you deserve a treat. Despite their diversity, most natural therapies aim to recruit the self maintaining capacities of the body and put you back in charge of your own health and well being. Natural Treatment of Patients As a patient of Bristol Natural Health Service you are treated as an individual. Rarely is your condition assessed against an artificial norm. To us, "Normal" means your potential for health and, as it is usually you as a complete person being treated rather than the symptoms alone, there are no reasons to separate the body from the mind. Attitudes, life style, vital energy and posture are all considered relevant in most therapies. Even in manipulative therapies efforts will be made to identify the sources of tensions and stresses in your body so that you can then choose to take action. Natural Relief of Pain In addition to pain relief most natural therapists would like to help you towards a complete state of physical and mental well being (the definition of health used by The World Health Organization). Poor vitality and low resistance are conventionally regarded as inadequate states of health rather than illness - we take them more seriously. Once symptoms have cleared, the treatments can often be used as a preventive measure. Natural therapies administered by qualified professionals are safe, non-toxic, non-addictive and have no side effects. Help & Advice at our Bristol Natural Health Clinic We aim to offer not only first class health care but also offer advice and information on self help issues. The clinic has regular open days but visitors are always welcome, so feel free to call in. If you are unsure as to which treatment is most suited to your condition, we offer free consultations with practitioners and our reception staff are well versed in the different therapies and can usually help. An informed choice can then be made. Advice on treatment options If you would like advice on choosing the most appropriate therapy, please call. Often we will be able to recommend the treatment or therapy which is most likely to suit you and your needs (we have over 20 qualified and experienced natural health practitioners from whom we can choose). We can usually recommend an appropriate treatment straight away. However if you feel you would prefer to be seen by someone before making that initial appointment for treatment / therapy then we offer a free 15-minute consultation. This appointment is an assessment. It allows us to provide information on different therapies and advice about what we would recommend in your case. There is no charge for this assessment, which can be held at the clinic or by telephone if you prefer. There is no presumption that you will necessarily go on to make a further appointment. |
